Formed in early 2013, The John F. Kennedy Atlantic Forum (JFKAF) is based on the idea that President Kennedy’s ideals and visions are as relevant today as when they were expressed some 50 years ago.
Since our founding we have generated much enthusiasm in creating a living legacy for President Kennedy, enlisting a strong partnership team and developing bold programs to include the highest levels of public and private leadership. The John F. Kennedy Atlantic Forum is also an integral part of the German Technology Entrepreneurship Center (GTEC).
On the historic date of June 26th, 2013 we have launched the John F. Kennedy Atlantic Forum as a future-oriented organization, inspired by President Kennedy, and focused on relevant issues in our global and trans-Atlantic communities.
Other higlights include the events "Failing as Opportunity: Towards a New Transatlantic Risk and Reward Culture" and "Expanding Entrepreneurship: Capitalizing on German-American Synergy".
A major focus of JFKAF will be entrepreneurship, a key building block to successful democracies. Entrepreneurship impacts competitiveness as well as innovation and remains a core attribute to business leadership.
Entrepreneurship is equally a political and social issue – debated and discussed in many fora among policy-makers, corporations, and institutions. We all seek answers to how to foster and promote this valued quality.
Our answer is to engage in meaningful dialogue but grounded in specific and concrete issues such as present-day challenges of energy; the digital world; climate change, among other themes. Moreover, we intend to fully utilize Berlin as an example of dynamism and entrepreneurship as well as the political seat of one of the world’s most powerful economies.
We equally intend to utilize our public and private sector connections to the United States. Ultimately, and true to President Kennedy’s vision, our programs are based on deepening the trans-Atlantic relationship so that together we can generate the talent and technology to address 21st century challenges.
